Virtual Ceremony - Updating Participants

Instructions


Search for the participant you wish to update in the search bar. You can update the Slide, change the Display Name and the Alt Text.

To update a graduate's slide, you must first update their slide in your Director software.  Slides are jpg images and are not dynamic within your virtual portal.

Steps to update/create a new virtual slide

  1.  Open your director software and navigate to the Help Desk.
  2. Search for the graduate you wish to update and click Modify.
  3. After you have modified the graduate's slide, click save
  4. Ensuring you still have the graduate selected from the menu on the left, click Export Slide.
    1. TIP: save this slide as the graduate's name so that it is easier to find later.

If using a Mac:

  1. Select the arrow next to "Downloads" specifying the location that the slide will be saved

  2. Select “Desktop” as the files destination

    1. TIP: If you are editing multiple files, create a new folder “Saved Slides <school name>” to stay organized. 


Steps to add updated/new virtual slides to your virtual portal

  1. Update a slide by clicking View/Replace in the Slide column of the desired participant, choose the correct slide from the Saved Slides folder on your computer, and click Save.
  2. Update a participants "Display Name", "Alt Text" and filters by simply clicking on them, or click the pencil and pad icon on to the right of the participant.
  3. Click Save in the Edit Participant box, and Save at the top of the page.
  4. Once all your additions are complete, click Publish to Live.
