Director App Updates
- Advanced Settings (New Feature) – New Advanced Settings offers a toggle to display the last scanned entry in a separate window within the queue. This assists visibility for improved scan verification and AV coordination. The feature is located under the Ceremony Settings dropdown.
- Ceremony Settings Button – The button name for “Settings” has been updated to “Ceremony Settings” and includes commonly used ceremony options, as well as the option to select the Advanced Settings (New Feature).
- Display Status for Name Advancement – In the ceremony window, users can easily identify if the status is configured for seamless auto-advance or manual control, offering greater flexibility and convenience.
- Improved Log Data
- Ceremony Selection – Improved log accuracy based on ceremony selection allowing for more precise timing in after-ceremony logs of graduates’ stage crossing.
- Unrecognized scans are now recorded in ceremony logs.
- Added “Showed Slide Ceremony” tracking – Users can now see exactly which ceremony was active when each stage crossing occurred, along with a precise timestamp for improved verification and event accuracy.
- Validated File Paths – This addresses an issue from spring 2025 graduation season where users were able to open Director via a zipped file, which caused errors using the software. Users will no longer be able to access their Director database from a zipped file, solving this pain point.
- Unrecognized.txt – Added new template for unrecognized scans: Introduced support for a dedicated template that allows custom text and formatting for unrecognized scans. Previously, these scans defaulted to the standard default.txt template.
- Removed “Send Logs to StageClip” – users are no longer able to do this via our automated system.
- Enhanced Help Desk and Check-In usability – Improved search functionality and user interaction within the search bar, including clearer prompts when a record is not found in the database and streamlined reassignment options to ensure more accurate event logs.
- Operational Workflow Improvements – Addresses foundational issues and improves core features for performance and reliability.
- In-App Access to Scanner Programming Guide – Improved accessibility for programming and troubleshooting scanners.
- UI/UX Improvements
- Visual Enhancements such as fixed background persistence and window resizing.
- “End Ceremony” button added to the preview window in active ceremony mode.
