FAQ
When does the new Ceremonies module go live?
September 23, 2026. All Tassel customers will be notified via email when the transition occurs.
Has the new interface been tested with real customers?
Yes. The new interface has undergone extensive testing, including beta testing with real Tassel customers. Their feedback has helped us validate the experience, identify improvements, and ensure the updated interface is ready for broader use.
Will my existing ceremony setups be affected?
Your existing ceremony sites, registration forms, and questions are expected to port over automatically. This includes not just top-level content but the question customizations & dependencies as well, so nothing you've already built needs to be redone.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
No action needed on your end. That said, we recommend reviewing the Training Materials and Webinar Recording ahead of time. After launch, take a few minutes to log into the Hub and familiarize yourself with the new interface.
Where can I learn more about how to use the new features?
Check out the updated Ceremonies Module Training Articles or watch the Webinar Recording.
What specifically is changing with the new layout?
We're rolling this out to make your day-to-day easier, and it's been tested extensively, including a beta round with real Tassel customers, so you can expect a smoother interface, better data flow, and an overall improved user experience. Some specific updates include:
- The interface feels more modern and efficient, data loads faster, and you'll get better previews and warnings to help prevent errors or accidental overrides.
- The admin view now mirrors the graduate view one-for-one. Sections appear on the left, and clicking a section populates its questions on the right.
- Sections now show dependency, expiration, and hidden/visible flags.
- There's no save button. Everything auto-saves.
- Setting a dependency for a question or section based on a previous question now uses a clearer, more organized dropdown menu.
- New guardrails prevent common mistakes, like making a question dependent on itself or on a question that appears later in the order.
Does the new setup meet accessibility standards?
Yes. All new features are WCAG 2.2 AA compliant, on both the admin side and the graduate side. Accessibility was part of the rebuild from the start, not something added after the fact.
