Stage Video FAQs

Stage Video FAQs

What are graduate stage videos?
Tassel provides an automated video clipping service that creates personalized 10-30 second stage clips for graduating students from full ceremony videos. This service transforms milestone graduation moments into shareable, high-quality video clips that graduates and families can easily access, download, and share on social media.

This is an included feature for Expert customers.

How does Tassel create these videos? How do we get started?
Tassel uses AI to match a school’s graduation video to their Director log to accurately create clips of a graduate’s stage crossing with their name announcement. Graduates can trim their clips to be just their stage crossing.

What is required on my end to have stage clips created?
In order to utilize this feature, you’ll need to export your ceremony’s Director logs and send your CSM a video of your ceremony.

How do graduates receive their videos? How long does delivery take?
Tassel sends each graduate a unique link to their video. Videos are delivered within one week after Tassel receives ceremony recording and Director logs.

How can graduates save or share their video?
When they receive their clip, they can either share it directly to popular social media sites or download the MP4 file for offline viewing. We recommend downloading right away since links expire after 30 days.

Are both single- and two-stage ceremonies supported?
Yes! Both single-stage and two-stage ceremonies are supported, including single and multi-zone staging areas.

Can schools customize the graduate video emails to grads?
Customization at this time is limited. Schools can customize email templates with their logo and primary color.

Can videos include custom intro/outro or music?
Custom video elements are not currently supported.

How long do links remain active?
Graduates have 30 days to view and download their videos before the link expires and content is deleted.

Can I schedule delivery for a specific time?
Automated scheduling isn't available, but you can request your videos are sent at a specific time through your CSM.

What browsers are supported?
All major web browsers are compatible.

A graduate reported that their video is missing or incorrect. What should I do?
Instruct your grad to click the the "Not You" button after viewing the clip to contact Tassel for support.
