App Database
App permissions
Download the initial the Director Setup app well ahead of your event. We recommend doing this as soon as possible because there may be security permissions on your work issued computer that your IT security team may need time to work through.
Download the Director Setup App again if sent with your custom database - this means there is an update and you will need to download and install to make sure you have the latest version.
For Windows 11
Make sure the setting "Let apps access your file system" is turned on in Settings > Privacy & security > File system. You can also choose which apps can access your file system by turning individual apps and services settings on or off.
For Windows 10
Make sure the setting "Allow apps to access your file system" is turned on. To find this setting, go to Settings>Privacy >File system, or search “File System” in the search bar. Make sure the toggle is on.
Whitelisting the Director software
You may need to ask your IT security team to whitelist the Director Install Application. Application whitelisting is a way to create a list of approved software or files that are allowed to run on a computer system. Your IT security system administrator will whitelist the director software by specifying file details, such as the file name, file path, and file size.
