Reviewing Graduate Data

Reviewing Graduate Data

Overview

Why Accuracy Matters

It is imperative to thoroughly review the graduate data before the deadline. Once data is extracted from the Tassel platform, it’s used exactly as entered for all ceremony materials—stage cards, name recordings, and live displays.
If there are mistakes, correcting them after extraction requires re-processing, which may delay your timeline, add reprocessing fees, and risk introducing new errors or software issues.

Taking time to review your data early helps ensure a smooth, error-free ceremony for everyone.

What to look for in your Graduate Data Review

  1. Review all graduate entries
Go through each record to confirm all required fields are complete and accurate.

  2. Check spelling
Verify names, degrees, and honors for correct spelling.

  3. Confirm capitalization
Ensure proper capitalization for names, programs, and titles.

  4. Verify all details
Double-check student information exactly as it should appear in the final materials.
The software will use your data exactly as entered.

  5. Finish early
Complete your review 1–2 days before the deadline to allow time for any needed changes before processing begins.
