Is using mobile wallets required?
Using mobile wallets is optional. It can be turned on or off within the Ceremonies module of your Hub.

How do I turn on the ability for our guests to add their Tickets to Google Wallet or Apple Wallet?
Guest ticketing for mobile wallets is automatically enabled for ceremonies created after May 19, 2025.

Navigate to the Ceremonies module and select the Ticketing button to the right of the ceremony you want to edit. At the bottom of the Ticketing Properties tab is a toggle that will allow administrators to enable or disable the add to wallet feature for their guests. When enabled, guests will see the option to add to their mobile wallet after they click to access their ticket.

How is this different from how tickets were delivered before?
Guests will still access their tickets via email. Now, they have the option to add them to their mobile wallets for more convenient and reliable access.

Do mobile wallet tickets work offline?
Yes, once a ticket is added to the mobile wallet, guests can access them without internet connection. Please note, adding the ticket to the wallet typically does require an internet connection at the time of download.

Offline capabilities can be particularly useful at large events where internet access may be slow or unreliable where mobile data networks may be congested.

We turned this feature on after graduates have already sent out tickets to their guests for our upcoming ceremony. Will guests be able to use Google or Apple Wallet?
If tickets were emailed before wallet access for ticketing was enabled, your guests will not see the option to add to Google or Apple Wallet in their guest ticket email.

Do I need a new scanner to scan from mobile wallets?
No, guest ticketing continues to be compatible with our Tassel Ticketing App.

When will the ticket begin appearing on a guest’s home screen?
On iPhones, ceremony notifications will appear on their home screen 2 hours before the ceremony. For Androids, guests will receive a ceremony notification 24 hours before the ceremony.

Are tickets accessible from smartwatches?
Yes, tickets that are added to Apple or Google Wallets are accessible from compatible smartwatches.
