FAQs

Q: Is the Tassel platform accessible to everyone?
Tassel is designed to be accessible and supports most of the WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria. We’ve published a detailed VPAT to show what we support fully, what we partially support, and what we’re actively improving. Our platform works well with assistive technologies and includes keyboard navigation, readable contrast, accessible forms, and more.

Q: Can people use screen readers with Tassel?
Yes, Tassel is compatible with screen readers. Most interactive elements (like buttons and form components) include accessible labels using ARIA and semantic HTML. We're continuing to improve ARIA support for some remaining form fields.

Q: How does Tassel support keyboard-only navigation?
Yes, you can move through all parts of Tassel using just a keyboard. This includes registration, ticketing, and ceremony day tools.

Q: What are Tassel’s standards for text size and color contrast?
Our platform meets contrast ratio guidelines so text is easy to read. Text and interactive elements maintain at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio (3:1 for large text). You can resize text up to 200% without losing functionality. Most content reflows well on mobile and small screens, but we’re improving how some complex form layouts behave at high zoom levels.

Q: How does Tassel handle forms and registration?
All forms are designed with accessible fields, labels, and error messages. This ensures students and families can register or request tickets without barriers.

Q: Does Tassel test accessibility regularly?
Yes, we test with automated tools and manual reviews. We also review our platform regularly with accessibility experts and continue to update our features to ensure compliance and usability, and welcome any feedback to continue improving accessibility.

Q: What should I do if I find an accessibility issue?
You can contact our support team at support@tassel.com. We take reports seriously and respond quickly.
