Graduate Check In Using the Ticketing App

Graduate Check In Using the Ticketing App

Why use the ticketing app instead of Director for Check-In?

If you are just needing a headcount of grads as they arrive, or wish to simply check that your arriving graduates have a valid stage pass, you can scan stage passes using the Tassel Tickets app, just like you would scan guest ticket.

When using this method for check-in, you will not be able to export a database to the ceremony computer and make slideshows based on graduates who check-in or not.

The Tassel Tickets app is free for Apple iOS (iPhones, iPads) or Google Play (Android Devices). When prompted, follow the instructions to allow the app to use the device’s camera.

Devices for using our ticket app can be rented through our partners at Fello, and will arrive with the app installed and ready to scan. Tassel customers qualify for discounted rental rates.  Learn more here.

Find Your Event Codes

Each ceremony has a unique event code that must be entered into the app before scanning can begin. Stage pass event codes can be found in your Hub (Ceremonies module > Stage Pass > Stage Pass Properties.

Helpful Tips

Your Ticketing event code and your Stage Pass event code will start the same, with stage pass event codes ending in “GP”.

Note: A device may only be signed in using one event code at a time. In other words, if you are using guest ticketing and stage pass, plan to have devices assigned for each category.
