To get started with setting up your post ceremony survey, you will be sent an intake form from Tassel where you will be able to customize your survey to fit your institution's goals.
You can create up to two custom surveys, each with up to five questions.
Once the intake form has been sent to you, you will be asked to specify who you would like to target for your surveys
- Did you collect RSVPs?
- If yes, select if you’d like to create separate custom surveys based on RSVP status.
Depending on your selections for your surveys, you will be asked to start customizing your survey questions! Tassel will prefill questions based on your selections, but the type of questions your school wants to ask to fit your planning goals is up to you.
Once you complete the intake form, Tassel will email you with two important links:
- The link to your custom survey(s)
- The link to your survey report page where you will be able to track graduate responses and feedback.
Setup Your Email Template
Once your survey link has been sent to you, it's ready to send to your graduates! Tassel will have prepared email template(s) for you based on your intake form selections.
You can find these template(s) by signing into your Hub and navigating to the Communications module, selecting the “Manage Templates” tab, and looking for the survey templates our team created for you under “Non Automated Email Templates”. Click the edit icon to access the template and feel free to edit its contents to match your school's communication style.
Send survey email to all graduates
If you are not filtering based on RSVP status, navigate to the "Send Email" tab within the Communications module.
- To the left under "Standard Filters", select “All graduates for ceremonies"
- Under "Recipient Ceremonies", choose the ceremony or ceremonies for the graduates you want to email.
- To the right, under "Load Template", select the template name for the survey email. Once selected, the template will load and you will be able to make any additional edits to the subject and message of your email.
- Press Review recipient total, then press Send.
Send survey email based on RSVP status
Once you have made your edits to your email templates in the Communications module, you are ready to navigate to the Graduates module, so you can filter by RSVP status.
Tassel will have already created a Custom RSVP View for you.
- Start by selecting "Load All Graduates".
- Select the ceremony for the graduate you want to email.
- From the “All Graduates” dropdown menu, select the RSVP status you want to send to.
- From the “Actions” dropdown menu, select Add to Email. This will take you back to the "Send Email" tab in the Communications module where you can upload your template and send your email to the selected RSVP graduates.
- To the right, under "Load Template", select the template name for the survey email. Once selected, the template will load and you will be able to make any additional edits to the subject and message of your email.
- Press Review recipient total, then press Send.
