Overview
The stage pass layout can be personalized with graphics, text, placeholders, and various elements tailored to your ceremony or individual graduates. The following instructions will guide you through the customization process.
NEW! Please see instructions below for how to customize your stage pass in Apple and Google Wallet
Customizing your Stage Pass Instructions:
- Log in to Your Hub - Begin by logging in to your administrator account at hub.tassel.com. From your Dashboard, navigate to the Ceremonies module.
- Access the Stage Pass Template - To edit your template, locate the ceremony you wish to customize and select the Stage Pass button on the right. Then, click on the Stage Pass Layout tab.
- Customize Your Stage Pass Layout - The toolbar is designed to provide flexibility in aligning your stage pass with your school's branding, as well as the specific needs of your event team and graduates. By hovering over each icon, you'll see a brief description of the tool and its functionality. Remember to click Save Layout frequently to preserve your changes.

Inserting Placeholders
Placeholders (highlighted in yellow) allow you to add specific ceremony and graduate details to the stage passes, such as ceremony dates, graduate names, or degree types. Tassel provides common ceremony placeholders that automatically pull from your ceremony data.
When you copy ceremonies, placeholders will automatically update to reflect the new ceremony's graduate data, streamlining the process and reducing the need for manual edits. Placeholders are particularly useful for managing multiple active ceremonies simultaneously and can save considerable time in future events.
Inserting a Line Break
To insert a line break, press the Enter key to create a new line, then press the Spacebar once. For large spaces between text in your stage pass layout, ensure that the blank lines are not left empty.
Previewing the Stage Pass Layout
To preview your ticket layout, click the Preview button, which will open a new tab displaying the ticket's appearance. Always remember to press Save Layout to secure your changes as you work.
Customizing Your Stage Pass in Apple and Google Wallet Instructions
At the bottom of the stage pass properties tab is a setting for "Stage Pass on Wallets".  When toggled on (to the right), you can add up to 3 additional fields in your wallet.  These fields come directly from your graduate data.
A good use of this additional field is to display a lineup number if needed, like in the image below.
Apple Wallet
In the apple wallet, these additional fields will show up directly in the wallet's main screen:
In the Google Wallet, the additional fields will show on the additional details page of the Google Wallet which is accessible when you click on the three dots of the upper right covern of the stage pass:
