Configure QR Scanners for Dual Line Software
Program Scanners for Dual
It is important to note that QR scanners MUST be calibrated for dual in order for the software to work properly at the ceremony. When calibrating scanners for dual, a suffix “-B” or “-C” is added at the end of each graduates unique QR code. This is how the Director software distinguishes between which graduates enter from stage right or left.
Additionally, the Director will be able to track how many and which graduates entered on each side of the queue. This will be reflected in the procession logs, which can be exported and saved after the ceremony and utilized for future planning at your events.
Add Dual Suffix To Scanners
After you have programmed your scanner for
serial mode, scan the barcode sequences below to program one scanner for "Stage Left (-B)" and one scanner for "Stage Right (-C)". Remember to do this for any backup scanners as well, and label them accordingly.
Remove Dual Suffix From Scanners
The following scanning sequence makes it so the QR scanner will no longer add the “-B” or “-C” suffix at the end of each graduate’s QR code within the procession logs.
Note: If you are operating both single line and dual line ceremonies, keep a scanner programming guide close by for troubleshooting. If you forget to remove the suffix by accident before a single line ceremony, graduate cards will still scan normally into the software and the ceremony will proceed as usual.
